Surgical Associates – Bariatrics Division is pleased to announce a valuable new addition to our self-pay program! We’ve recently been approved as a BLIS Surgical Program! This is a special designation that only surgeons with favorable outcomes can attain. BLIS is the first and only insurance product that can offer self-pay patients peace of mind. By having this designation, we are now able to provide our self-pay patients with a safety net of protection from the financial effects of surgical complications. This means that should a complication occurs within certain time frames following surgery, the patient will receive the medical care they need at no additional cost to them! This program has been implemented as of January 1, 2009.

So, what does this mean for you? It means that you or your loved ones can visit with Dr. Hung or Dr. Taddeucci and they can provide them with peace of mind. As you know, choosing to undergo weight loss surgery is not an easy choice, but it is even more difficult for those that do not have insurance coverage. Especially considering the state of the economy today, we are proud to offer financial protection for our patients and their families. Our self-pay patients will no longer have to fear about costly complications and can move forward with their decision and meet their weight loss goals!
