Dr. Krier Bio

Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Krier graduated from South Dakota State University with her Bachelors of Science degree with Highest Honors. She went on to receive her MD from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Following graduation, her general surgery residency took her to the University of New Mexico. Her interest in colorectal surgery led her on to do a fellowship in colorectal surgery in Utah.

Dr. Krier is excited to be back in the Midwest focusing her practice on the care and treatment of diseases of the colon and rectum. Dr Krier joined Surgical Associates, PC as the newest member in 2012. She is board certified in colorectal surgery and general surgery. Her areas of interest include colorectal cancer prevention, detection, and staging, minimally invasive surgery for treatment of cancer and benign conditions, treatment of anorectal conditions including hemorrhoids, fissures, incontinence and beyond.

Family and faith are of highest importance to Dr. Krier. She spends the majority of her spare time caring for her three young children, or supporting her husband by attending high school vocal performances. She also participates in multiple church activities every week.
