Dr. Jobst Bio

Dr. Jobst was born in Southern California and graduated from Mount Carmel High School in San Diego. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard College, Dr. Jobst returned to San Diego to receive his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine. He then moved to Omaha where he completed his surgical internship, residency, chief residency and colorectal surgical fellowship at Creighton University.

Dr. Jobst has been certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He moved to Lincoln in 2005 and focuses his practice on colon and rectal surgery, with areas of clinical interest and expertise in colorectal cancer detection, prevention, staging, and treatment; laparoscopic colectomy for cancer and benign conditions; transanal endoscopic microsurgery; surgery of the pelvic floor; and minor office-based procedures to alleviate anorectal pain.

In his free time, Dr. Michael Jobst enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling and playing golf.
